Welcome to DocEzy.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions", or "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the DocEzy mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

DocEzy is operated by Deevyansh Khadria.

By downloading, installing, accessing, registering for, or using DocEzy, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use DocEzy.

1. About DocEzy

DocEzy is a digital document management and storage application designed to help users store, search, organize, access, and manage their personal documents.

Depending on the features available to you, DocEzy may allow you to:

• Upload and store images, PDFs, and other documents.

• Import documents through device sharing functionality.

• Scan documents and extract text using OCR.

• Search documents using text and other search technologies.

• Convert images into PDF files.

• Create and store notes.

• Back up documents to cloud storage.

• Restore documents from available backups.

• Use document-related features such as Smart Aadhaar and other automated document-processing functionality.

• Secure documents using available security and encryption mechanisms.

• Manage, view, download, or delete documents.

Features may change, be added, suspended, or removed from time to time.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By using DocEzy, you confirm that:

1. You have read and understood these Terms.

2. You agree to comply with these Terms.

3. You will use DocEzy only for lawful purposes.

4. The information you provide to DocEzy, where applicable, is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

5. You have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.

If you are using DocEzy on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

3. Your Account

Certain DocEzy features may require you to create an account.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information during registration.

• Keeping your account credentials secure.

• Maintaining the security of the device used to access your account.

• Not sharing your account credentials with unauthorized persons.

• Not allowing another person to use your account in a manner that violates these Terms.

You are responsible for activities performed through your account unless such activity resulted from circumstances outside your reasonable control.

If you believe that your account has been compromised, you should contact us promptly at deevyansh.iitd@gmail.com.

4. Your Documents and Content

You retain ownership of the documents, images, PDFs, notes, and other content that you upload, import, create, or store through DocEzy ("User Content").

DocEzy does not claim ownership of your User Content.

You grant DocEzy only the permissions reasonably necessary to provide the Service, including storing, processing, transmitting, backing up, displaying, indexing, and otherwise handling your User Content as required to operate the features you use.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to upload and store the User Content.

• Your use of DocEzy does not violate another person's rights.

• You will not knowingly upload unlawful, fraudulent, malicious, or infringing content.

You remain responsible for the documents and other content that you choose to store in DocEzy.

5. Important Documents and Accuracy

DocEzy provides tools for document storage, OCR, search, classification, extraction, conversion, and related processing.

These features may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrectly interpreted results.

For example:

• OCR may incorrectly recognize text.

• Search may fail to identify a document.

• Automatically extracted information may be incomplete or incorrect.

• Document classification may be inaccurate.

• Image processing may alter or omit information.

• PDF conversion may not always reproduce the original document perfectly.

You should always verify important information against the original document.

DocEzy should not be treated as the authoritative source of information contained in your documents.

You are solely responsible for verifying critical information, particularly information relating to identity, finances, legal matters, government documents, insurance, taxation, medical information, or other important matters.

6. Backup and Data Restoration

DocEzy may provide cloud backup and document restoration features depending on your account and the features available at the time.

While we take reasonable measures to maintain the availability and integrity of backed-up data, no storage or backup system can guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, unavailable, or inaccessible.

You should maintain your own copies of particularly important documents.

DocEzy is not responsible for loss of data resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including device failure, user deletion, account loss, service outages, third-party infrastructure failures, security incidents, or other unforeseen events.

7. Security and Encryption

DocEzy may use security technologies and encryption mechanisms to help protect your documents and account information.

However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, operating-system credentials, authentication credentials, and any other means used to access your DocEzy account.

You should not attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security mechanisms implemented by DocEzy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use DocEzy only in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms.

You must not:

• Use DocEzy for unlawful activities.

• Upload or distribute content that you do not have the right to possess or distribute.

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or documents.

• Attempt to access DocEzy's servers, systems, databases, or infrastructure without authorization.

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the source code of the application, except where permitted by applicable law.

• Circumvent security, authentication, access-control, or usage restrictions.

• Introduce malware, viruses, malicious code, or other harmful material.

• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of DocEzy.

• Use automated systems to abuse or overload the Service.

• Attempt to extract, scrape, copy, or reproduce significant portions of the Service.

• Use DocEzy to infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of another person.

• Use the Service in a manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service.

We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe that the Service is being misused or these Terms are being violated.

9. Intellectual Property

DocEzy, including its software, design, user interface, logos, trademarks, branding, features, graphics, text, code, databases, and other materials provided by us, is owned by or licensed to DocEzy and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not:

• Copy or reproduce the DocEzy application or its components.

• Modify or create derivative works based on DocEzy.

• Sell, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the Service.

• Use DocEzy's trademarks or branding without permission.

• Reverse engineer or attempt to discover the underlying source code, except where permitted by law.

Your use of DocEzy does not transfer ownership of DocEzy's intellectual property to you.

10. Licence to Use DocEzy

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to download and use DocEzy for your personal use.

This licence does not give you ownership of the application or its underlying intellectual property.

We may terminate or suspend this licence if you materially violate these Terms.

11. Third-Party Services

DocEzy may rely on third-party services, infrastructure, APIs, cloud-storage providers, authentication services, communication providers, analytics services, or other external technologies.

These third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

We are not responsible for the availability, performance, security, or policies of third-party services that are outside our reasonable control.

Changes or interruptions to third-party services may affect certain DocEzy features.

12. Internet and Device Requirements

Certain DocEzy features require an active internet connection.

You are responsible for:

• Your internet connection.

• Mobile data or network charges.

• Compatible hardware and operating systems.

• Keeping the application updated where necessary.

We do not control your mobile network provider or internet service provider and are not responsible for charges imposed by them.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep DocEzy available and functioning reliably, but we do not guarantee that the Service will:

• Always be available.

• Always operate without interruption.

• Be free from errors or defects.

• Be compatible with every device or operating-system version.

• Always preserve every feature indefinitely.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, technical problems, security measures, third-party failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or replace any feature or part of the Service.

14. Updates and Changes to the Application

We may release updates, patches, bug fixes, improvements, or new versions of DocEzy.

Some updates may be necessary for security, compatibility, or continued operation of the Service.

We may also modify or discontinue features when reasonably necessary.

Your continued use of DocEzy following an update constitutes acceptance of the applicable changes to the Service.

15. Fees and Paid Features

Certain DocEzy features may be offered free of charge, while other features may be offered on a paid or subscription basis.

If paid features are introduced:

• Applicable prices will be displayed before purchase.

• Payment terms will be communicated at the time of purchase.

• Where payment is processed through an app store or third-party payment provider, the provider's applicable terms may also apply.

• Subscription renewal, cancellation, and refund procedures may be governed by the applicable platform or payment provider.

We reserve the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue paid features, subject to applicable law and any commitments already made to users.

16. Deletion of Your Account

You may stop using DocEzy at any time.

Where account deletion is available, you may request or initiate deletion through the available account settings or by contacting deevyansh.iitd@gmail.com.

Deleting your account may result in the deletion of documents, backups, notes, or other information associated with the account, subject to applicable legal, security, backup, or operational requirements.

You should export or retain copies of important documents before deleting your account.

17. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to DocEzy if:

• You materially violate these Terms.

• You use the Service for unlawful purposes.

• You attempt to compromise the security of the Service.

• Your use creates a security or operational risk.

• We are required to do so by law.

• We discontinue the Service.

Where reasonably appropriate, we may provide notice before suspension or termination.

Termination does not affect provisions that are intended to survive termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DocEzy is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will always meet your requirements.

• The Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

• Search results will always be complete or accurate.

• OCR or automated processing will always be accurate.

• Documents will always be available.

• Backups will never fail.

• Data will never be lost or corrupted.

• The Service will be compatible with every device or software environment.

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DocEzy and its operators, developers, affiliates, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary losses arising from or related to your use of the Service.

This may include, where permitted by law:

• Loss of data.

• Loss of documents.

• Loss of profits.

• Loss of business opportunities.

• Loss resulting from service interruption.

• Loss resulting from reliance on automatically processed or extracted information.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of documents that are particularly important to you.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless DocEzy and its operators, developers, affiliates, employees, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms.

• Your unlawful use of the Service.

• Your User Content.

• Your infringement of another person's rights.

• Your misuse of the Service.

This obligation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

21. Privacy

Your use of DocEzy is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, and protect information associated with your use of the Service.

The Privacy Policy forms an important part of your relationship with DocEzy and should be read together with these Terms.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we make changes, we may update the "Last Updated" date displayed at the beginning of this document.

For significant changes, we may provide additional notice through the application, website, email, or another reasonable method.

Your continued use of DocEzy after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you should stop using DocEzy.

23. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of DocEzy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Nohar (Rajasthan), unless applicable law provides otherwise.

24. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permitted.

The remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue to remain in effect.

25. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and DocEzy concerning your use of the Service.

They supersede prior understandings relating to the same subject matter, except where otherwise expressly agreed.
